ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Zach Dill (Jr., F, Lake Tahoe, Calif.) -- Dill was named MASCAC Player of the Week after scoring a goal to go with two assists, which included setting up the game-winner, in Salem State’s 4-3 overtime victory over #10 Endicott.

Will Nepveu (So., G, Montreal, Quebec) -- Nepveu earned MASCAC Goalie of the Week after setting the Salem State single-game saves record, recording 65 saves in Salem State’s 4-3 upset win in overtime against #10 Endicott.

Landyn Greatorex (Jr., F, Reading, Mass.) -- Greatorex earned Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Week honors after he scored the game-winner in overtime and added an assist on the game-tying goal as the Vikings defeated UMass Dartmouth 3-2 on Saturday evening in their lone game of the week. s Dartmouth 3-2 on Saturday evening in their lone game of the week.

Nicholas Martinez (So., G, Revere, Mass.) -- Martinez was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Week after leading the team to a 2-1 record, averaging 22 points per game on 48.2% shooting (27-56 FG), along with four rebounds, 2.3 assists and two steals. Erupted for a career-high 34 points on 65.2% shooting (15-23 FG) with four rebounds, two blocks, two assists and a steal in the 86-74 victory over Rivier. He then helped the Vikings secure their second win of the week with 13 points, seven rebounds, and four assists in a 76-70 comeback win over Southern Maine.

Kylie Gates (Sr., G, Pembroke, Mass.) -- Gates led the Vikings to their victory over Gordon College with 20 points, shooting 66.7% (8-12) from the field and 50% (3-6) from beyond the arc, to go along with seven assists and three steals. During her team’s fourth-quarter comeback, she scored eight points, going a perfect 3-3 from the field, including two three-pointers.

Ginger Osgood (Fr., F, Saunderstown, R.I.) -- Osgood's buzzer-beating goal gave Salem State an exciting 3-2 victory over Plymouth State in the Vikings' only action last week.

Kylie Gates (Sr., G, Pembroke, Mass.) -- Gates averaged 17 points, six assists, 4.5 steals, and three rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Vikings while shooting 52% (12-23) from the floor and 58.3% from three (7-12). In the Vikings’ loss to Clark, Gates scored 13 points, dished out six assists, and recorded three steals. She then led her team to their first victory over Elms, posting 21 points (7-11 FG), including five three-pointers (5-6 3PT), to go along with six assists and six steals.

Omri Merryman (So., G/F, Lynn, Mass.) -- Merryman recorded 23.7 points, four rebounds, and two steals while shooting 47.9% (23-48) from the field, 44.4% (12-27) from deep, and a perfect 13-13 from the free throw line in three games for the Vikings. He recorded a career-high 34 points off 7-12 shooting from three to go with four steals and four rebounds in his team’s loss at MIT before notching 19 (5-10FG) and 18 (7-18FG) points, respectively, in setbacks against WPI and Plymouth State.

Ernidia Goncalves (Jr., F, Everett, Mass.) -- Goncalves averaged a double-double while shooting 50% from the field in an two games for the Vikings. On Tuesday night Goncalves notched 19 points (9-18FG) while grabbing nine boards before her 16 point (8-16 FG), 14 rebound double-double performance in her team’s setback against Endicott.

James Tatro (Fr., F, Salisbury, Mass.) -- Tatro was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Rookie of the Week after totaling four points for in a 1-1 week for the Vikings, tallying an assist in a 2-1 setback to Fitchburg State while earning a hat-trick in a 6-2 victory over Rivier.

Will Nepveu (So., G - Montreal, Quebec) -- Nepveu was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Goalie of the Week after stopping all 39 shots to record a shutout in Salem State's 4-0 victory over MCLA.

Tyrese Rho (Jr., G - Boston, Mass.) -- Rho was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Week after shooting 66.7% (10-15) from the field for 29 points and had six rebounds, six assists and two blocks in an 89-64 season-opening win over Colby Sawyer. 

Stephane Fevry (Fr., D, Haverhill, Mass.) -- Fevry was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Rookie of the Week after he tallied a goal and an assist for three points in the Vikings’ 3-3 tie against Worcester State.

Ava Guyer (So., GK, East Granby, Conn.) -- Guyer was named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Defensive Player of the Week after making 17 saves with a .944 save percentage and notched a shutout in a 0-1-1 for the Vikings. She allowed a single goal and had six saves in a 1-0 setback to Keene State and made 11 stops in a scoreless tie against Worcester State.

Savannah Scrodin (Sr., D, Bristol. Vt.) -- Scrodin tallied four points on a goal and two assists in a 2-0 week for the Vikings. The senior notched an assist in a 4-1 win over Thomas and added the game-winner to go with an assist in a 2-0 win over MCLA.
