Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
The SSU Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is an organization of student-athlete representatives from each of the varsity sports teams at Salem State University.
SAAC's goals and functions:
- to provide a bridge between the student-athletes and the SSU community;
- to plan and implement community service projects;
- to promote a positive student-athlete image on campus;
- and to enhance the total student-athlete experience at Salem State.
SAAC Members
Members include student-athletes from all 15 varsity sport programs at Salem State University. The duties of the SAAC representatives inlude but are not limited to:
- Attending all monthly SAAC meetings;
- Serve as liason between their respective team and the athletic department;
- Serve needs and be a voice for fellow student-athetles;
- Attend or organize representation for team at at least one community event or Viking game throughout each semester;
- Play an integral role in the structure of department and its formation of policies regarding student- atheltes.

Attendance Policy
SAAC meetings will occur on the first Monday of every month from 12pm-1pm, the dates are below:
- Monday, October 7th
- Monday, November 4th
- Monday, December 2nd
- Monday, February 3rd
- Monday, March 3rd
- Monday, April 7th and 28th
- Monday, May 5th
Each team should have at least one representative at each monthly meeting.
