Osgood Nets Game-Winner in Salem State's 1-0 Victory

GORHAM, Maine -- Ava Calabria found Ginger Osgood, who netted the eventual game-winner, deep into the third period as Salem State secured their first New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) victory of the season with a 1-0 win Saturday afternoon in Gorham. Salem State is now 5-12 and 1-9 in conference while the Huskies go to 8-7-2 and 5-3-2 in the NEHC.

How it Happened: 

  • Osgood scored her third goal of the season at the 14:05 mark of the third as Salem State snapped their three-game skid.

Inside the Numbers:

  • Delaney Cox (2-8) earned the win making 37 saves.
  • Haley McKim (6-7-2) took the loss after stopping 13-of-14 shots.
  • The Huskies held a 37-14 advantage in shots.
  • Salem State is now 2-8-2 all-time against Southern Maine, but have won two-of-the past three games.
