Gates Earns MASCAC Honors For Second Consecutive Week
Kylie Gates (Sr., G, Pembroke, Mass.) -- Gates was named MASCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the second conseccutive week after averaging 20.5 points, shooting 53.1% (17-32 FG) from the field and 57.1% (4-7) from beyond the arc, and had eight assists, 6.5 rebounds, and three steals in a 1-1 week for the Vikings. The senior guard had an efficient 23-point performance, shooting 9 of 11 from the field and a perfect 4 of 4 from three-point range, to go along with eight assists and three rebounds in the 90-79 win over MASCAC rival Bridgewater State.
Additionally, Gates fourth three in the final minute of the game marked her 1,000th career point. She then followed up with a near triple-double performance on Saturday, posting 18 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in the setback to Husson.
