Vermont State-Castleton to Become Ninth Core Member of MASCAC in 2027-28

WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Council of Presidents and Commissioner Angela Baumann are excited to announce that Vermont State University Castleton will be joining the MASCAC as a core member effective in the 2027-28 academic year. The Spartans will compete in all 20 championship sports offered by the MASCAC.

Currier Earns D3Baseball.com All-American Status

SALEM, Mass. - After being named to the D3baseball.com All-Region II First Team, Nolan Currier (Maynard, Mass.) garnered D3baseball.com Fifth-Team All-American status, as announced by D3baseball.com on Thursday, May 28. He becomes just the fourth Viking to earn All-American honors and the first since 2016 when Richard Fecteau was named a D3baseball.com Pre-Season All-American.

Men's Tennis Earns Three LEC Postseason Honors

SALEM, Mass. - The Salem State Men's Tennis team saw three student-athletes earn Little East Conference (LEC) honors as announced by the conference earlier Thursday. Quentin Wilkins (Hamilton, Mass.) headlined the group with a spot on All-LEC First Team for both singles and doubles. Joining Wilkins on doubles was teammate Mark Wood (Lynn, Mass.). Capping off the honors was first-year Ian Ronan (Quincy, Mass.) , who was named to the All-LEC Second Team.
