Norwich Defeats Salem State 3-0

NORTHFIELD, Vt.- Norwich University took three straight sets (25-13, 25-17 and 25-21) to earn a 3-0 victory over Salem State on Friday evening. The Cadets are now 12-8 on the season while the Vikings slip to 6-13.
 
Norwich cruised thru the first two sets, racking up 14 kills in set one while limiting Salem State to just six skills and a .036 hitting percentage in set two. The Vikings played the Cadets tough in set three, but Norwich closed out the game with four straight points to secure the win.


Leading the way in kills for the Cadets was Bella Ray who had nine. Ana Lopez chipped in with eight kills and Maggie McNeil had 27 digs while  Laura Farnum produced 21 digs and three aces. Sarah Farnum racked up a match-high 22 assists.
 
Salem State was led by Eva Haralabatos, who registered 14 assists and eight digs. Kailey Roche recorded 21 digs and a pair of aces.
