Panthers Eliminate Vikings in LEC Quarterfinal

PLYMOUTH, N.H. -- Fourth seed Plymouth State defeated fifth seed Salem State, 5-2 in the quarterfinals of the Little East Tournament on Tuesday at Bank of New Hampshire Field House. The Panthers (6-5) move on the semifinals on Thursday while the Vikings end their season 7-6.
Madison Sartori recorded the only singles win for Salem State, winning, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 1 singles over Chloe Ahern. Sartori and Kenzie McLaren also won at No. 1 doubles, beating Ahern / Tessa LaBarre, 8-5.
Ryann Tripp lost, 6-0, 5-7, 6-1 at No. 3 singles to Alyssa Craigie as Plymouth State swept the remaining two matches at No. 2 and No. 4 singles in straight sets to clinch the win after taking two-of-three doubles matches.
