Anchorwomen Snap Salem State's Win Streak

Providence, R.I. -- Rhode Island College snapped Salem State's five-game win streak, with an 8-1 victory over the Vikings at the RIC Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon. The Anchorwomen remain unbeaten in Little East play at 5-0 and improve to 11-0 overall. Salem State goes to 5-2 and 2-1 in the LEC,
Salem State's Madison Sartori won her fourth match in a row at No. 1 singles, defeating the previously unbeaten Lauren Macera, 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 to improve to 5-2 on the season. Macera is now 7-1 on the season.
Rhode Island College swept all three doubles matches, as Macera / Erica Botelho won, 8-3 over Sartori / Kenzie McLaren at No. 1 doubles. Emilia Houwers / Haylie Peacock defeated Abigail Laliberte / Ryann Tripp, 8-1 at No. 2 doubles and Amiah Sommer / Amara Devine blanked Alanna Zaldivar / Scarlet Chatham, 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
The Anchorwomen took five-of-six singles matches, all in straight sets.
