Vikings Win Streak Now at Five

SALEM, Mass. -- Salem State ran their win streak to five straight matches with a 6-3 win over Thomas College at The Central Campus Tennis Courts on Wednesday afternoon. The Vikings, who are now 5-1, beat Thomas for the first time in three meetings. The Terriers slip to 3-3 on the season.
Salem State took two-of-three doubles matches with Madison Sartori / Kenzie McLaren getting by Keira Gilman / Libby Forgues (Thomas (ME), 8-7 (7-1) at No. 1 doubles. Ryann Tripp / Alanna Bonneau picked up the second point for Salem State at No. 3 doubles with an 8-4 victory over Tracy Lopez / Maya Gammon.
The Vikings took four-of-six singles matches with Sartori and McLaren winning easily at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-4 respectively. Ryann Tripp improved to 3-1 at No. 3 singles as she defeated Libby Forgues, 6-4, 7-5 and 13-11. Alanna Zaldivar scored a 7-5, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.
