Eastern Nazarene Gets Past Salem Sate

QUINCY, Mass. -- Salem State and Eastern Nazarene split singles play, but the Lions won two-of-three doubles matches to pull-out a 5-4 victory over the Vikings on Monday at the ENC Tennis Courts. Eastern Nazarene goes to 2-1 while Salem State slips to 0-3.

Alyssa Otero continued her winning streak in singles play, this time winning at top-flight singles, 6-1, 6-1 over Maria Busila. Samantha Tenney outlasted Jenna Schlosser 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 at second singles. The Vikings' Abbie Laliberte picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Mary Boucher at fifth singes. Earlier Otero / Tenney won the only doubles point for Salem State, winning 8-1 against Kari Bollinger / Katie Cawthorne.
