2021 Women's Tennis Preview

SALEM, Mass. -- Salem State was picked fifth in the 2021 Litte East Women's Tennis Pre-Season Poll as voted on by the league's nine coaches. Anchored by former Little East Player of the Year and two-time First Team selection Anastasia Startseva and returners Alexandria Floyd, Sara Burke, Samantha Tenney, and Daphne Pineda, Salem State has its sites set much higher as the team looks to challenge front runners Rhode Island College and UMass Boston.

With experienced players such as Startseva and Floyd, combined with a strong core who gained experience dring a shortened spring season, head coach Madeline Allaire looks forward to seeing what her team can accomplish. "Although we lost a great group of seniors last year, we are excited to still have a great core of returning players to continue leading this team to success. With a very successful record even with our limitations this previous Spring (2021), we are excited to see what our leadership duo can do.

Salem State opens the season Tuesday, September 7th at home against Roger Williams at 3:30 PM.
