Vikings Secure Senior Day Shutout

SALEM, Mass. – Salem State women's soccer secured their second consecutive victory by defeating the Trailblazers from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) 1-0 this afternoon at Alumni Field, where they celebrated Homecoming and Senior Day. The shutout boosted the Vikings' record to 4-7-2 overall and 2-2-1 in conference play.
How it Happened:

- The Vikings would control the remainder of the half, attempting eight shots to the Trailblazers' one, but neither team would be able to find success, sending the game into the break with Salem's one-goal lead intact.
- The Vikings continued to apply pressure in the second half but MCLA's keeper remained solid, turning away seven shots, until the final minute when Krysta Zamjetis (Danvers, Mass.) laced the ball into the back of the net to give Salem the 2-0 victory over MCLA.
