Gordon Defeats Salem in North Shore Battle

SALEM, Mass. – Salem State women's soccer welcomed their north shore foe, Gordon College, to Alumni Field tonight where Eowyn Lapp's (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) four goals propelled her team to the 4-1 victory over the Vikings, dropping Salem to 1-6 on the season.

How it Happened:

  • Lapp added another tally to her total before McKenna Gilligan (Salem, Mass.) serviced a ball into the box where Savannah Scrodin (Bristol, Vt) managed to get a foot on it and bounce the ball over the keeper's head to make it a 2-1 game with just over 20 minutes to play.
  • Lapp capped off the night with two more goals at the 72nd and 74th minute, securing the Fighting Scots' 4-1 victory over the Vikings.
