Greenleaf Nets Overtime Winner

NORTH ADAMS, Mass.  --  Halle Greenleaf scored a minute into overtime to lead Salem State to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over MCLA at Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink on Saturday evening. The Vikings win for the third time this season (3-8) while the Trailblazers dip to 7-6.

How it Happened:

  • Nicolette Bardsley put MCLA on top with an unassisted goal just 1:21 into the first.  
  • Sabeti-Seidel scored her first of the year to make the score 2-0 early in the second.
  • Megan Azzato scored for the second straight night to bring Salem State to within a goal at 9:40 of the second.
  • Mallory Albanese tied the game up at 2-2 for the Vikings with a power-play goal with less than eight minutes remaining.
  • Greenleaf then scored her third power play goal of the season in overtime to secure the win for Salem State.

Inside the Numbers:

  • Delaney Cox picked up the win in net making 32 saves.
  • Kaitlyn O'Brien suffered the loss stopping 27 shots.
  • The Vikings finished 2-for-4 (.500 ) on the power play
