Bio

Gia is in her second season as an assistant coach at Salem State. Previously, Gia coached with the Woburn Panthers organization.

Gia graduated from UMass Boston in 2017 with a degree in Criminal Justice and a stellar career with Beacons softball program. Gia capped off her record-setting career at UMass Boston by putting together a career year as a senior. She broke the UMass Boston program record for career doubles (41), home runs (13) and walks (58) and finished her career in the top five in program history in games played (148 – 2nd), at-bats (439 – 3rd), hits (143 – t-2nd), runs batted in (81 – 3rd), total bases (233 – 2nd) and putouts (384 -4th).

Gia spent her first two years out of college working at Mclean hospital on a residential unit with teen girls who suffer from behavioral and psychological disorders. Gia currently works at SEEM Collaborative, an alternative middle school for students with social, emotional, an behavioral challenges.
