Manchester By the Sea, Mass. – Western Connecticut State University men's tennis defeated the Vikings 7-2 this afternoon, dropping Salem to 0-5 on the season and 0-2 in Little East Conference (LEC) play.

The duo of Quentin Wilkins (Hamilton, Mass.) and Cory Cherico (Winthrop, Mass.) notched the first point of the match after defeating the Wolves' counterpart, 8-4. However, the Wolves number two and three doubles would beat the Vikings 8-1, in both matches, jumping out to a 3-1 lead on the afternoon.

For singles, Wilkins bested Kevin Tenesaca (Danbury, Conn.) in the top spot, 6-0, 4-6,10-8, to give the Vikings' their second point on the afternoon, but the Wolves would sweep the remaining five matches to take the 7-2 victory over the Vikings.
