Manchester By the Sea, Mass. -- Emerson shutout Salem State, 9-0 at the Manchester Tennis Club on Tuesday evening. The Lions improve to 4-9 while the Vikings go to 0-4.

Leo Ishizuka / Filippo Nocchi defeated Quentin Wilkins / Cory Cherico, 8-6 at first doubles as Emerson jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Pete Sevikul / Lorenzo Almeida blanked Kevin Merino-Rivas / Josh Gruber, 8-0 at second doubles while Noah Mesaros / Finn Leeves-Coben completed the sweep with an 8-1, win over Michael Muttiah / Mark Wood at third doubles.

The Lion swept all six singles matches in straight sets. Nocchi topped Wilkins, 6-4, 6-3 at first singles and Sevikul defeated Cherico, 6-3, 6-3 at second singles.
