PLYMOUTH, N.H. -- Crosby Fay scored four goals and Ethan Gerry and Nic Lorizio scored three apiece as Plymouth State earned a 19-3 victory over Salem State in a Little East Conference match on Wednesday afternoon at Panther Field. The Vikings are now 4-10 and 0-7 in conference while the Panthers go to 10-4 and 5-1 in the LEC.
Plymouth State opened up a 7-0 first quarter lead behind four goals by Fay. The Panthers grew the lead to 10-0 in the second quarter following a goal by Gerry. Timothy Eddings ended the run, scoring at the 6:26 mark of the second for Salem State. Connor Vittands netted the second goal of the game right before time expired and Plymouth State entered the half leading 10-2.
Five unanswered goals by Plymouth State to start the third made the score 15-2 in favor of the Panthers. Trailing 17-2 in the fourth, Vittands added his second of the game for the Vikings before two more goals by Plymouth State made the final 19-3.
Ryan Cohen made 20 saves for Salem State while the Panthers used four goalies in the game. Starting goalie Owen McNichols earned the win, playing the first quarter without facing a shot on net.
