SALEM, Mass. -- Josh Manickam scored three goals and added an assist as Plymouth State cruised to a 19-0 Little East win over Salem State on Tuesday at Alumni Field. The Panthers up their record to 10-3 and 3-2 in the LEC. The Vikings are now 1-12 and 0-5 in conference.
Matt Miner scored back-to-back goals to open the game as Plymouth State scored five unanswered first period goals. The Panthers increased their lead to 11-0 with a six-goal second period. Shots favored the Panthers, 32-6 at the half. Manickam scored twice in the third period before Nic Lorizio scored the first of his two goals at the buzzer, extending Plymouth State's lead to 14-0. Ryan Hanlon added two fourth period goals as part of a six-goal spurt, making the final 19-0.
Starting goalie Owen McNichols made a save in the win. Trevor Gilligan stopped 24 shots in the loss.
