SALEM, Mass. -- Jack Flynn and Connor Gibson combined for six goals and five assists in Depauw's 15-2 win over Salem State on Wednesday evening at Alumni Field. The Tigers improve their record to 5-3 on the year while the Vikings now stand at 1-7.
Depauw netted four unanswered first period goals to take a comfortable four-goal lead as Flynn and Gibson each notched a goal and assist in the opening period. Aidan Hollingsworth scored a man-up goal early in the second period to stem the tide for Salem State, but Flynn and Gibson each connected in the final minute to give the Tigers a 6-1 halftime lead. The Tigers won 7-of-8 face-offs in the half and went 18-for-20 for the game.
Collin Kilpatrick made it 8-1 in favor of Depauw at the 9:58 mark of the third before Lake Fleming make it an 8-2 game with an unassisted goal. Leading, 9-2 in the fourth, the Tigers closed the game on a 6-0 run as Jack Kneisley added a pair of goals in the final period.
Henry White finished with two goals and four assists while Kneisley contributed a pair of goals and three assists. Kyle Tammaro and Glen-Thanh Doan combined for eight caused turnovers and eight groundballs for Salem State.
