Landyn Greatorex Named MASCAC Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Year As Four Vikings Earn All-Conference Recognition, MacInnis Named Coach of the Year

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Junior Landyn Greatorex (Reading, Mass.) was named the 2024-25 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men's Ice Hockey Player of the Year and highlights the MASCAC All-Conference team, which saw four Salem State players honored in a vote by the coaches from the league. Second-year head coach Chris MacInnis was named the 2024-25 BSN Coach of the Year.
Greatorex led the MASCAC in total points, scoring a career best (41), which was fourth highest in the nation, recording 16 goals and 25 assists, good for second most in the league. The forward finished in the top three in power play goals (6) and had three game-winning goals. He earned a hat-trick against Anna Maria for a five-point game in a 5-2 win over Anna Maria on February 20 and recorded points in 22-of-26 games this season, finishing the year with a 1.58 points per game average, which was top-10 in the NCAA.
Goalie Will Nepveu (Montreal, Quebec) secured first team honors after compiling a 17-6 record in net this season. His 17 wins led all goalies in the MASCAC and placed him in the top three in the NCAA. He finished first in the conference in save percentage (.934) and winning percentage (.739) and was second in goals against average (2.47) and saves (832 – 2nd most in NCAA DIII)).
James Tatro (Salisbury, Mass.) received MASCAC Rookie of the year honors, after an impactful freshman campaign. Tatro was the top rookie scorer, averaging 1.27 points per game, finishing with 33 points – 4th in the MASCAC- with 15 goals and 18 assists. His five game-winning goals led the league and tied for the most in a season at Salem State. The forward tallied five power play goals, placing him in the top five in the conference.
Keagan O'Donoghue (Frisco, Texas) earned ALL-MASCAC second team honors after recording 30 points this year. The forward ended the 2024-25 season fourth in the MASCAC in assists (18) and scored 12 goals. O'Donoghue finished his Salem State career with 105 points.
MacInnis received the BSN MASCAC Coach of the Year Award after guiding the Vikings to a 19-7 overall record and 14-4 conference mark, which was Salem State's best record since 2015-16.
