Bio

Coach Harvey, who was hired in 2007 as the head coach at Salem State University has compiled a 221-136 (61.9%) record, with eight regular season MASCAC titles, four post-season MASCAC titles, and five trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The 2008-2009 team advanced to the Sweet Sixteen finishing at 23-7. Coach Harvey has been named MASCAC Coach of the Year four times in his tenure.

In the 14 years as head coach, Harvey has worked with two two-time Players of the Year in Dylan Holmes, and Brian Clark as well as, Players of the Year Shaquan Murray, Sean Bryan, and Hakeem Animashaun. 

Harvey, who has 24 years of college coaching experience with 20 as head coach, directed Lasell College to three straight NCAA-Division 3 tournament appearances while being chosen North Atlantic Coach of Year in each of those seasons. Harvey averaged over 20 wins a season at Lasell while guiding the Lasers to a program record 25 wins in 2003-2004, and has an overall record of 325-172 (65.4%).  

Prior to arriving at SSU Harvey served two years as an assistant at Tufts University helping the Jumbo’s achieve a single season record 23 victories and NCAA Sweet Sixteen appearance.

Harvey, a 1994 graduate of Worcester State College, received a Master’s in Human Movement in 1998 from Boston University. Harvey, originally from Somerville, resides in Concord, MA with his wife Hanna, and two children Taijah and Maurice.
