Field Hockey  Earns Little East Team Academic Award

SALEM, Mass. -- The Little East Conference (LEC) announced the recipients of its first ever Team Academic Award, which is awarded to the team with the highest grade point average (GPA) in the current academic year among each of the league's 19 championship sport offerings. Salem State's field hockey team tied with Castleton for the highest GPA (3.53) in its respective sport this season.   

The Team Academic Award is the one of two newly created award programs to recognize the academic achievements of the LEC's student-athletes. The Academic Honor Roll debuted following the Fall 2019 academic term. 

The first-ever LEC Team Academic Award winners are as follows.
