Endicott Overpowers Vikings

SALEM, Mass. -- #15 Endicott hit a Central Campus Baseball Field record seven home runs in a 22-3 rout of Salem State on Tuesday in a non-conference game. The Gulls connected for seven homers, the most by any one team in the field's history. John Mulready hit two as Endicott racked up 12 extra-base hits. Nicolas Notarangelo, Robbie Wladkowski and Jake Nardone went back-to-back-to-back in the first inning before Mulready added and RBI double as Endicott took a 5-0 first inning lead. 

Caleb Shpur and Nardone, who hit a long blast into the bullpen, added two more home runs in the second as the Gulls increased their lead to 9-0. Mulready added his second homer as part of a four-run fourth.

Jordan Gottesman started for the Gulls, who used eight pitchers on the afternoon, and went two scoreless inning without allowing a hit with two strikeouts and a walk. Ryan Walton earned the win pitching 1.1 scoreless innings, after entering in the fourth. Salem State starter Jake Usenia gave up nine runs on eight hits with a walk and strikeout in the loss.

Mulready finished 3-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored for Endicott. Brahiam Ortega went 3-for-4 with a double, walk and RBI for the Vikings.
