Bio

A resident of Weymouth, Robert Stanford was a co-captain on the 1966-67 men’s basketball team which recorded the men’s best ever single season record, 27-1. He scored 419 points from his guard position during the season which saw the team win the State College Conference championship and advance to the finals of the National Association of intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) District Tournament. Robert taught for 30 years in the Somerville Public Schools and continued his involvement with basketball by coaching youth basketball and serving as both a high school and college basketball official.
