Bio

A three-year guard on the women’s basketball team, returned to SSC in 1993 at the age of 27 after taking a leave of absence in 1985. She earned Kodak District 1 All-American honors her senior year.

 

Thompson helped lead SSC to a third place finish at the 1995 NCAA Final Four after being named most outstanding player at the Northeast./ East sectional tournament. She ranked among the nation’s division 3 assist leaders during her junior and senior seasons. She graduated number 3 in assists with 457 and number six with 194 steals among SSC women’s basketball all-time leaders.

 

Thompson was a two-time team captain and team MVP who helped lead the Lady Vikings to three NCAA playoff appearances, three MASCAC championships and a 75-13 record. She was a two-time recipient of SSC’s Female Presidents Cup Award. She is a native of Burlington.
