Bio

Agganis played basketball for four years while at Salem, serving as team captain in his senior year. One of the best defensive rebounders in the history of the College, he was noted for his outstanding contribution as a team player- playing at different times forward, center and guard. While he was a member of the team the college won the New England Teachers Conference title.

 

After graduation Agganis entered the teaching profession as a Business teacher in the East Bridgewater School system. He is currently a guidance counselor at Beverly High School. He played semi-pro basketball for the New York Model Bakery team and coached high school basketball and summer league women’s softball. He is active in several professional organizations and has served as Vice President of his local Little League. A Lynn native, Agganis lives in Danvers with his wife Patricia (Maloney). They have three daughters Laurie (Agganis) Soucy, Maureen and Christine.
