Bio

Patrick Golden, M.Ed., joins SSU Athletics as the new Staff Assistant for Athletic Facilities and Event Management from NCAA Division I Charleston Southern University in South Carolina where he was the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Game Experience as he brings over a decade of college athletics administration supervisory experience to Salem State University Athletics. 

He also worked at The University of Arkansas at Monticello Athletics Department where he was the Associate Athletics Director for Game Operations and Facilities beginning in 2021.

Golden has spent over 20 years in athletics serving a wide variety areas in the departments from roles in event operations management from NCAA Division I and Division III regionals along with game event logistics, event staffing oversight, and marketing to corporate sponsorship/revenue-generating ($100K+) sport and personnel oversight to NCAA compliance.

He is very excited to do his part to foster a positive experience in the total development of every student-athlete through excellence in academics and athletics.

Golden is a member of The National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and of The National Eagle Scout Association (NESA). 

Golden is a North Shore native of Massachusetts and is a graduate of both The University of Massachusetts (Amherst) with a Bachelor’s degree and received an academic scholarship to attend Bucknell University from where he graduated with a Master’s degree.
