Vikings Shoot Tournament Low on Day Two of Lafrance Hospitality Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. -- The Salem State men's team finished seventh at the 2019 Lafrance Hospitality Invitational hosted by UMass Dartmouth at Allendale Country Club this past weekend. The Vikings shot the lowest round (306) of the tournament on the second day to move up from 11th place. Salem State opened the event with a 336. UMass Dartmouth won the team-title, shooting 623 (321-307) while Husson came in runner-up with a 628 (321-307).

Eric Powers tied for fourth, shooting a 75 on day two to lead the charge, just one stroke off the best round of the day and two off the tournament low. Powers finished with a 152 (+8). Reed Bourgeois tied for 22nd with a 160 (84-76, +16). Christian McKenna tied for 41st (88-77, +21) while Justin Serowik (88-78, +22) tied for 59th. Matt Godbout rounded out the scoring for the Vikings, tying for 63rd (87-88, +31).
