RIC Blanks Salem State

SALEM, Mass. -- Rhode Island College earned a 9-0 Little East victory over Salem State at The Central Campus Tennis Courts on Monday afternoon. The Anchorwomen are now 9-2 and 5-1 in the LEC while the Vikings slip to 0-10 and 0-6 in conference.

Rhode Island College took a 3-0 lead, sweeping doubles play; surrendering only a single point. Erica Botelho / Lauren Macera earned an 8-1 win at first doubles over Samantha Tenney / Kenzie McLaren while Amiah Sommer / Amara Devine and Anna Vygoder / Li hsiu Hou both won 8-0 at second and third doubles respectively. The Anchorwomen did not lose a set in singles play with Macera defeating Tenney, 6-1, 6-0 at first singles and Botelho topping McLaren, 6-0, 6-1 at second singles.
