BOSTON -- UMass Boston swept all nine matches on Saturday enroute to a 9-0 Little East victory over Salem State . The Beacons improve to 1-1 and are now 1-0 in conference play. The Vikings remain winless at 0-5 and 0-2 in the LEC.

Meagan Carney / Zainab Patel won 8-0 over Cassie Liu / Samantha Tenney at first doubles while Elena Albano / Ayonna Stuppard defeated Kenzie McLaren / Miah Reyes, 8-1 at second doubles. Sandra Watson / Kaya Rutkowsk completed the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win at third doubles over Ryann Tripp / Alanna Zaldivar.

Lydia Chan led the way at first singles with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout over Cassie Liu as the Beacons won all six singles matches in straight sets.
