WESTON, Mass. -- Anastasia Startseva (Volksburg, Russia) picked up a pair of wins for Salem State despite a 7-2 loss to Regis on Tuesday afternoon at the Regis Tennis Courts. Startseva improved to 4-0 at first singles with a 6-0, 6-1 win over  Katelyn Mogelnicki (Wethersfield, Conn.). Startseva and Alexandria Floyd (Burlington, Mass.) secured their third win of the year at first doubles with an 8-1 victory over Lauren Mogelnicki (Wethersfield, Conn.) / Kaitlyn Colby (Merrimac, Mass.).

Regis (2-2) earned two points by default at sixth singles and third doubles. The pair of  Katelyn Mogelnicki / Stephanie Beatrice Stephanie Beatrice (Rockland, Mass.) won 8-1 over Samantha Tenney (Danvers, Mass.) / Abbie Laliberte (Gardner, Mass.) at second doubles.  

Lauren Mogelnicki won a point for the Pride at second singles with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Floyd. Samantha Gevry (Dudley, Mass.), Beatrice and Colby all won in straight sets for Regis at third through fifth singles. Salem State is now 0-4 on the year.
