Vikings Trounce Lions 9-0

SALEM, Mass. – Salem State's women's tennis team opened up their 2021 spring campaign with a 9-0 victory over the Eastern Nazarene Lions on Friday afternoon at the Central Campus Tennis Courts.

Anastasia Startseva (Volksburg, Russia) and Alexandria Floyd (Burlington, Mass.) each won in straight sets at No.1 and No.2 singles respectively and teamed up at first doubles, securing an 8-0 win over  Jenna Schlosser (Bridgewater, Mass.) / Kari Bollinger (Alton Bay, N.H.).

Hannah Dahrouge (South Hadley, Mass.) and Caroline Robitaille (South Hadley, Mass.) completed the doubles sweep, earning an 8-1 victory over Mary Boucher (Whitinsville, Mass.) / Krista Signs (Mashpee, Mass.).

Dahrouge and Robitalle took No. 3 and No.4 singles without allowing a point as the Vikings shutout the Lions, who defaulted in three of the matches.
