DeSantis, Giuliano Earn MASCAC Weekly Honors

SALEM, Mass. -- Senior Mackenzie DeSantis (Ridge, N.Y.) took home Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Player of the Week honors while freshman Alaina Giuliano (Malden, Mass.) was recognized as the MASCAC Rookie of the Week for the week ending March, 30.

DeSantis batted .417 (5-for-12) with two doubles, a home run and five RBI for an .883 slugging percentage in a 3-1 week for the Vikings. She went 4-for-7 with five RBI, two doubles, a home run and two runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Fitchburg State. Giuliano batted .500, for the week, going 5-for-10 with six runs, five walks and a pair of stolen bases for the Vikings. The freshman went 2-for-6 with three runs and two stolen bases in a split with New England College and followed up with three hits in four at-bats with three runs and a pair of walks in two wins over Fitchburg State.
