SALEM, Mass. -- Wentworth cruised to an 8-1 win over Salem State (0-1) in the fall opener for the Vikings. Andrew Muttiah (Colombo, Sri Lanka) won at first singles 6-2, 6-0 over Daniel Gallegos (Monterrey, Mexico) as the Leopards (1-0) won the remaining flights in straight sets. 

Roni Bazile (Brockton, Mass.) lost a tightly contested match at second singles, 7-5, 6-4 to Kevin Salomon (West Newton, Mass.). Grant Bellino (Amesbury, Mass.) making his first start at third singles lost 6-4, 6-2 to Tyler Hall (Framingham, Mass.). Pranav Marwaha (Nashua, N.H.) beat Cory Cherico (Winthrop, Mass.) 6-1, 6-2 at fourth singles.

Muttiah / Bellino were defeated 8-5 at first doubles by Salomon / Gallegos while Hall / Marwaha scored an 8-5 victory over Bazile / Cherico at second doubles.
