Jake Boucher Named to D3baseball.com All-Region First Team

SALEM, Mass. -- Sophomore Jake Boucher (Wallingford, Conn.) was named to the D3baseball.com All-New England First Team in an announcement by D3baseball.com on Tuesday. Boucher, an All-MASCAC Second Team selection, excelled in the field and on the mound for the Vikings this season. 

Coach Falcon added, "Jake had an outstanding season for the Vikings both as an offense force at the top of our line up as well as closing out games for us on the mound. It is nice to see his accomplishments being recognized! On behalf of his teammates, the coaching staff and the Salem State Athletic department we congratulate him on this honor."  

The second baseman batted .331, tying for the team-lead in doubles (11.). He finished in the top-10 in the MASCAC in hits (51), doubles (11) total bases (64) and runs (31). The versatile right-hander also made 12 appearances on the mound, going 1-0 while recording six saves. Boucher struckout 18 batters in 13.1 innings.
