Lesley Notches 5-4 Win Over Salem State

SALEM, Mass. -- Lesley defeated Salem State 5-4 in a non-conference match at The Central Campus Tennis Courts on Thursday afternoon. The Lynx up their record to 6-3 while the Vikings slide to 0-7.

Once again the last three single spots provided wins for Salem State. Kenzie McLaren earned a 6-3, 7-5 win over Jordan Blair at third singles while Ryann Tripp and Erin Curristin compiled wins at fifth and sixth singles. Tripp won 6-2, 6-4 over Lucy Boyce while Curristin shutout Ariane Ramos 6-0, 6-0 in straight sets.

Miah Reyes / Alanna Zaldivar earned the other point for the Vikings, winning 8-2 over Boyce / Ramos at third doubles. Lesley won first through third singles with Jessica Legendre and  Mary Osucha each registering shutouts for the Lynx at first and second singles. Brooke Whitten defeated Reyes, 6-1, 6-1 at third singles. Lesley opened the match with wins at first and second doubles.
