Muttiah Tabbed Little East Player of the Week

SALEM, Mass. -- Andrew Muttiah (Gr., Colombo, Sri Lanka) -- Muttiah was named the LEC Men's Tennis Player of the Week after leading the Vikings to their second LEC tournament championship last week, and with it secured the conference's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

He was 4-0 at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions last week. In singles play, Muttiah posted a shutout victory against Bridgewater State in the semifinals before notching a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Rhode Island College in the championship final. He teamed with Quentin Wilkins for an 8-5 doubles win against the Bears and an 8-1 doubles win over the Anchormen.

Muttiah was named the LEC Championship Most Outstanding Player for the second time in his career, an honor he earned as a freshmen in 2018 when he led the Vikings to their first-ever LEC tournament crown.
