Vikings Top Blue Jays 6-3

SALEM, Mass. -- Salem State picked up their second win of the season (2-1) with a 6-3 win over the University of St. Joseph (6-4) in a non-conference match at The Central Campus Tennis Courts on Thursday afternoon. Andrew Muttiah notched his third win in as many matches at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-3 victory over Noah Rivera. Muttiah teamed with Quentin Wilkins for an 8-4 victory against Rivera / Marko Karpyuk at No. 1 doubles. Roni Bazile and Cory Cherico picked up wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles respectively, 6-0, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-4.

Parker Andreoli earned the fourth singles point for Salem State with a 6-2, 0-6, 10-8 decision over Brett Hodas. Bazile / Cherico took No. 2 doubles, winning, 8-2 against Ryan Boucher / Jonathan Huot.
