Fisher, Salem State Tie 2-2

Medford, Mass. -- Salem State and Fisher played to a 2-2 tie at Hormel Stadium on Tuesday evening. The Vikings finish their non-conference slate at 5-2-3 and go to 9-3-3 on the year. The Falcons now stand at 11-2-3. 

Leonardo Di Biase put the home team on top, 1-0 just :57 seconds into the game. However, Vanilton Xavier answered for Salem State in the 16th minute, tying the game with his eighth goal of the year. Landon Picillo gave the Vikings the lead in the 33rd minute, scoring his second goal of the year, giving Salem State a 2-1 edge at halftime. The Falcons held a 12-8 advantage in shots, but just three were on net.

Tim Schwarz tied the game, 2-2 for Fisher early in the second half as the Falcons kept up the offensive pressure, outshooting Salem State 16-5 after halftime. Jonathan Chasse made 10 saves for the Vikings while Fisher goalie Eduardo Navarro made four stops.
