Filetti Earns 2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-Region II First Team Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Senior Patrick Filetti (Newburyport, Mass.) was named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's All-New England Region First Team in an announcement on Tuesday afternoon. Filetti, who was a third team selection a year ago, is the first Salem State player to earn first team recognition since 2012 and is the first player since Yuta Kizaki (2006-2008) to be selected to multiple all-region teams.

 

Filetti, is a three-time MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year; three-time All-MASCAC first-team selection. A two-time captain and leader of the Vikings' defense, Salem State allowed just five goals to conference opponents in 2022, which included a 0.71 goals against average. The Vikings have gone 18-1-2 in the regular season during Filetti's career.
