Three Men's Soccer Seniors Selected To NEISL All-Star Game

SALEM, Mass. -- Three Salem State senior soccer players were selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League All-Star Game, to be held on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 1 p.m. at Gordon Field at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass.

Defenders Cole Hay and Patrick Filetti, and goalkeeper Matt Hauntsman were among 43 seniors in the New England region to be selected.

Filetti, the three-time MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year, started 54 games during his career. The past three seasons saw the Vikings go 18-1-2 in conference games, which culminated with a tournament championship in 2021. Hauntsman, a two-time All-MASCAC first team pick, posted five shutouts, including a league-best four shutouts in conference games. The senior posted a MASCAC-best 10 wins this season. Hay started 16 games for Salem State, helping solidify a unit that allowed just five goals to conference opponents for a 0.71 goals against average.
