Filetti, Prince Named to 2021 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's All-New England Region Third Team
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Senior Patrick Filetti (Newburyport, Mass.) and freshman Kendy Prince (Medford, Mass.) were named to the 2021 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's All-New England Region Third Team in an announcement on Monday afternoon. The two players are the 29th and 30th Salem State players to earn selection to the All-New England Region Team.

Filetti, the two-time MASCAC Defensive Player of the Year, is a two-time All-MASCAC first-team selection. He started every game for the Vikings as a senior, leading a unit that did not allow a goal to the opposition in seven conference games. Filetti, helped the Vikings' defense produce 11 shutouts this season while allowing just 3.42 shots per game by MASCAC opponents this year.

Prince, the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Rookie and Player of the Year, led the league with 20 goals scored, including three in Salem State's two MASCAC post-season playoff games, to lead Salem State to the conference championship. He ranked in the top-10 nationally in goals (20), points (44) and points per game (2.59). His 20 goals are fourth most in a season in school history and are the most by a freshman since Norman James tallied 25 in 1993. Prince's 44 points rank fourth all-time in a season and are the second most by a freshman to James' sixty points in 1993.
