Three Vikings Selected For NEISL All-Star Game

SALEM, Mass. -- Three Salem State senior soccer players were selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League All-Star Game, to be held on Sunday, Nov. 28 at 1 p.m. at Gordon Field at Brandeis University in Waltham, Mass.

Defender Damon Deocleciano, and midfielders Joao DeSouza and Fabricio Torres were among 41 seniors in the New England region to be selected.

Deocleciano is a two-time MASCAC All-Conference selection, who started in all 58 games during his career. This season he helped the Vikings' defense earn 11 shutouts including all seven conference opponents in 2021, while helping produce 19 for his career. DeSouza played in 66-of-75 games during his career, scoring a pair of goals with three assists. He was part of two NCAA Tournament teams and three MASCAC regular season championships. Torres started 33-of-34 games during his two-year career, tallying five goals and five assists, including 13 points for the 2021 MASCAC champions. The Vikings were 13-0-1 in regular season conference play during his two years.
