Leopards Post 2-0 Win Over Salem State

BOSTON, MASS. --  Andrea Colmenares scored his first goal of the year as Wentworth evened their record to 2-2 on the season with a 2-0 win over Salem State on Wednesday afternoon at Sweeney Field.   

The Leopards took a 1-0 lead in the 8^th minute as a miscommunication by the Salem State defense led to an own goal. The Vikings (1-3) managed just four shots in the first half and led 4-1 in corners, but trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Wentworth extended their lead to 2-0 when Colmenares scored from the right side in the 78^th minute. Salem State allowed just one shot on net in the second half, but could not find the back of the net on offense.

Matt Hauntsman was credited with a save in the loss while Louis Quintero stopped for shots for the Leopards.
