Former Head Coach Bill O'Neill Honored By New England Hockey Writers Association

SAUGUS, Mass. -- Former Salem State men's ice hockey head coach Bill O'Neill was honored by the New England Hockey Writers Association at its annual awards reception on Tuesday, April 23, at the Prince Restaurant in Saugus, Mass. O'Neill was awarded the Parker-York Award, which recognizes an individual for their contributions to New England hockey. 

O'Neill spent 42-years leading the Salem State men's ice hockey program, Beginning in 1981, he amassed a 626-436-76 (.583) record during his tenure, completing his career ranked 2nd all-time in total victories in Division III before retiring at the end of the 2023 season.
