Day 2 Results -- NCAA Championship

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Florida -- Salem State concluded play at the 2022 NCAA Championship at Mission Inn Resort and Club on Wednesday. The Vikings finished on the  par-72 El Campeon Course, ending with a team-score of 339 for a two-day 670. Salem State placed 38th in the tournament, with only the top-18 teams slated to move on to the next round. 

Brian Cannata (Wakefield, Mass.) and Ethan Doyle (Salem, Mass.) each shot a 3-over 38 over the first nine holes with Cannata finishing strong, shooting even on the back-nine with three birdies to lead the Vikings with a solid 3-over 75. Cannata ended his two rounds tied for 57th (+10, 153) out of 221 competitors. Doyle produced a birdie on 15, ending his day +9 (81). Danny DiLisio (Swampscott, Mass.) added a birdie on 16, for a +16 (88).     

Matt Godbout (Rowley, Mass.) +32 (104) and Matt Martin (Gloucester, Mass.), who also birdied 14, finished his round with a score of +23 (95).
