Salem State Ties For Second at Rhode Island Spring Invite

WARWICK, (R.I.) -- Salem State finished second at the Rhode Island Spring Invite hosted by Rhode Island College on Friday at the Valley Country Club. The Vikings tied with Springfield College after a one round score of 317, one stroke behind Westfield State (316). 

Brian Cannata posted the best round for Salem State, tying for ninth with a +6, 78. Travis Ryan and Matt Martin each tied for 13th with a +7, 79. Ethan Doyle (t-18, 81, +9) and Matt Godbout (t-22, 83, +11) rounded out the field for the Vikings.

Zach Ellsworth of Southern Maine and Christopher Ervin of Westfield State tied for medalist honors with a +3, 75.
