Bryan, Zaiter Earn MASCAC Weekly Honors

Sean Bryan (Lowell, Mass.) and Liz Zaiter (Peabody, Mass.) were named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's and women's basketball players of the week, ending February 12. This is the fifth time Bryan has been recognized by the league this year. Zaiter earned her first award this season.     

Sean Bryan (Gr., G, Lowell, Mass.) --

Bryan was named MASCAC Player of the Week for the fifth time this season. He averaged 25 points, eight rebounds, 4.5 assists and two steals, going 18-of-41 (43.9%) from the field in a 2-0 week for the Vikings. Bryan scored 18 points and had six rebounds and four assists in a 91-78 win over Fitchburg State surpassing the school's all-time assist mark with 452 career assists. He then notched 32 points, going 13-of- 27 (48.1%) with 10 boards, five assists and three steals in an 86-84 overtime victory over MCLA.  

Liz Zaiter, Salem State (Jr., F, Peabody, Mass.) --

Zaiter was named MASCAC Player of the Week after averaging 21.3 points, connecting on 27-of-37 field goal attempts (73 percent) and 10.3 rebounds in a 3-0 week for the Vikings. She accounted for a double-double of 26 points on 11-16 field goals and 14 rebounds in an 80-61 win over Fitchburg State. Zaiter shot 75 percent (6-8) from the floor for 15 points with nine rebounds and three assists in a 79-58 victory over the Falcons and contributed 23 points, shooting nearly 77 percent (10-13) with eight rebounds in an 86-43 decision over MCLA.
