Mason's Named to 2022 LEC Field Hockey All-Conference Team
SALEM, Mass. - Midfielders Melanie Mason (Beverly, Mass.) and Mikayla Mason (Beverly, Mass.) were named to the 2022 Little East All-Conference Third Team as voted on by the league's coaches in an announcement on Wednesday. Additionally, senior Stephanie Santorella (Danvers, Mass.) earned the 12th Player Award.
Melanie Mason, a second team selection in 2021, led Salem State with seven goals this season. The senior finished in the top-25 in the conference in points with 15 and now has 16 goals and 10 assists for her career, which includes five game-winning goals.
Mikayla Mason earned her second straight all-conference appearance after being a third team selection a year ago. Mason led the Vikings with four assists and her 10 points were second most on the team. The senior now has 36 points over the least two seasons (14g, 8a).
